Hi. I’m Abbey.

I am a registered dietitian here to help you understand the relationship between food, nutrition, and yourself. As a registered dietitian, I am acutely aware of diet culture's impact on our society. Diet culture promotes the idea that weight loss is the ultimate goal and that thinness will bring health and happiness. However, this mentality can lead to disordered eating, negative body image, and a preoccupation with food and weight.

At
CULTIVATE NUTRITION RDN, I focus on intuitive eating, body positivity, and health-promoting behaviors while recognizing Health at Every Size®. I believe everyone deserves to have a positive relationship with food and their body, regardless of weight or size. I work with clients to develop a healthy and sustainable relationship with food based on listening to their body's needs and honoring their hunger and fullness cues. I also help clients explore digestive troubles from an encompassing lens.

I recognize that health is not simply a number on the scale, but a holistic approach to overall well-being. I help individuals navigate their health from a weight-inclusive space while prioritizing self-care, stress management, and movement that feels good for their bodies.

This a non-weight-centric practice and welcomes individuals of all sizes.

the facts.

YOU’RE TIRED. YOU’RE HUNGRY. YOU’RE ABOUT TO GIVE UP.

So many, like you, have been silently combating confusion around what to eat for years. Diet culture surrounds us. Social media, the news, school, the workplace, and family dinners. Food talk is everywhere, and it is overwhelming.

There always seems to be a quick fix, fad diet, cleanse, or program that promises success, achievement, and happiness. But we know that these successes are short-lived. They bring confusion, frustration, and defeat. You are not failing due to lack of willpower; its biology, and its not your fault.

HAPPINESS.

Isn’t that all we want? To feel happy and confident in our skin so we can live a fulfilling life not worrying about food.

IT IS EXHAUSTING TO UNDER-EAT, OVER-EAT, COUNT POINTS, COUNT CALORIES, OVER-EXERCISE, AND MEASURE FOOD.

Don’t give food more power than it deserves.

With thoughtful, individualized nutrition care, I focus on respecting your body and prioritizing your nutritional needs and questions. Explore the options at Cultivate Nutrition RDN that will help you find neutrality with yourself and food.

Regain control so you can get back to the fun things in life.
